Hi! I'm so pleased you have time to visit my website. For those of you who do not know about me, I have been knitting since my childhood and designing knitwear for most of my adult life. Knitting has been my passion and I have been lucky enough to have fifteen (and counting) books published. In 2000, my first book was the innovative 'Simple Knits For Easy Living', followed by 'Simple Knits for Cherished Babies', which, is one of the best selling baby knits title in the world and has just been republished in a smaller format. Since the ground breaking 'Simple' knitting series, I have published a book every year or so.
I am endlessly fascinated by why and what people knit and make and this has inspired titles from 'Essential Crochet', 'New Knits', 'Beads and Buttons' to the 'Collectables' series of Classic and Glamour.
My first knitwear book for the man in your life - 'Men's Knits' - simple, great designs, with good basic patterns to make just the way he'd like it! The latest project, combining the purest yarns with irresistable designs - 'Natural Nursery Knits' - a collection of twenty hand knits for the newborn baby, from practical first garments, cosy blankets and delightful toys to heirloom pieces with emotive photographs from the renowned Kristin Perers, a photographer renowned for her unique sensibility and quality.
To coincide with all this, I am launching a series of creative workshops and book signings, so do please check my news pages for dates and venues. All can be tailor made to maximize success and enjoyment but will always be inspirational, informative and fun!
