Knit for the Boys

Knit for the Boys copy

A poster pattern collection of four classic menswear designs in maxi and vintage wools.

A chunky bi-colour jumper, a crew neck pullover with contrast colour tipping and integral elbow patches, an essential vee neck slipover, oh! and and a beanie hat to use up leftover yarn and colours.

Four designs to knit with ‘the boys’ in mind, using erika knight maxi wool and vintage wool. Simple to knit and make; with stylised shapings worked into the knitting where possible to make a feature and minimise sewing up.

The whole process of making the erika knight wool from shearing and scouring to spinning at Laxtons Mill in Yorkshire, is completed entirely in Britain.

Pauly Jumper

A good looking urban sweater knitted in stocking stitch and reverse stocking stitch with contrast colour tipping and integral elbow patches and optional pocket.

Bruce Vest

A simple and versatile slipover; worked in two pieces, and with no picking up stitches for neck or armbands, so ‘easy peasy’ and a lovely finish is guaranteed. Will look great in a classic, neutral or ‘pop’ colour especially with a contrast colour tipping at hem.

Clive Sweater

A great chunky bi-colour ‘weekend’ sweater created by using strand of thick maxi wool and a strand of thinner vintage wool together.

Lil Bro’ Beanie Hat

A very quick hat to make, a basic pattern so that you can mix up the colours and yarns from the leftovers from the sweaters on this poster pattern.
